Home and Oxygen Safety

Breathe Strong is proud to partner with author and educator Marilyn Klingler RN, B.S., M.Ed. on her informative and helpful online support group meetings. This month she will be discussing home and oxygen safety.

There are over 358,000 accidental home fires each year in the US.

In 2020, an estimated 156,300 preventable injury-related deaths occurred in homes and communities, or about 78% of all preventable injury-related deaths.

Every four days, someone has an oxygen related injury.

The key word is preventable. How can we be safe and be prepared in case something does happen?

Mesa Fire and Medical will be joining us to share some important information on how to be safe, prepared, and proactive in preventing  injuries at home.

Marilyn Klingler RN, B.S., M.Ed. is a nurse and a health educator who has practiced nursing for 40 years in several specialties including intensive care, emergency, cardiac and pulmonary specialties. She has given presentations at hospital and community groups throughout Arizona and is the author of Triumph Over Lung Disease.
